Description
Two early 18th century 2-storey wings with opposing identical elevations on elevated site. 'House planned for centre seems never to have been built' (Craig 1976, 90). Entrance fronts of 5 bays; 3-bay central pedimented breakfronts. Roughly coursed sandstone construction with cut limestone detail including quoin-pilasters framing elevations and breakfronts. S wing in repair with hipped roof. N wing in ruins; enlarged in late 18th century into residential quarters. Many demesne features survive including bricklined walled garden to S with 2-storey brick tower; orangery; remains of towers including a gazebo to S; serpentine lake to W and gatepiers with pineapple finials. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994). Description
Entrance sweep, built c.1720, comprising snecked dressed limestone walls with square-profile piers having square limestone caps. Central vehicular entrance flanked by pedestrian gates. Eastern pedestrian gate now blocked with dressed limestone blocks. Vehicular and western pedestrian gates having wrought-iron single- and double-leaf gates. Located north-west of house, forming rear entrance.

Description
Detached five-bay two-storey country house, commenced 1702, completed 1720, having central pedimented gable-fronted breakfront to front (south) elevation, five-bay return to rear (north) and later extension to side (west). Now ruinous. Slate hanging and render to chimneystacks and rendered rubble stone gable to return. Tooled limestone eaves course throughout, having tooled limestone cornice to pediment. Rubble limestone walls with tooled limestone plinth and quoins. Diminishing square-headed window openings with tooled limestone sills and surrounds throughout. Oculus window openings to rear elevation having roughly cut limestone surrounds. Square-headed door opening to front (south) elevation, having tooled limestone block-and-start surround, lintel and keystones. Timber panelled door surmounted by overlight. Round-headed door opening to side (west) elevation, having rubble stone voussoirs and timber battened door. Square-headed door opening to side (east) elevation having tooled limestone surround and lintel. Carriage house, servants quarters and outbuildings, gate lodge, arboretum and various related structures within grounds. Gates to front and rear.

Description
Detached five-bay two-storey former country house, commenced 1702, completed 1720, having central gable-fronted pedimented breakfront to front (north) elevation. Later in use as stable, now in use as office. Hipped slate roof with tooled limestone eaves course, uPVC rainwater goods and tooled limestone cornice to pediment. Coursed dressed limestone walls with tooled limestone plinth and quoins. Diminishing square-headed window openings with tooled limestone sills and surrounds throughout, having six-over-six pane and six-over-three pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed door opening to front (south) elevation with block-and-start tooled limestone surround and lintel with raised keystones. Timber panelled door surmounted by overlight. Round-headed former carriage arch opening to side (east) elevation, having ashlar limestone surround and voussoirs with keystone and plain capitals. Limestone stepped approach to double-leaf glazed timber doors with timber tympanum. Square-headed door openings to side (east) and rear elevations, having stone lintels and timber battened doors. Set within grounds of Garrettstown House.

Two range of outbuildings, built c.1710. Detached nine-bay single-storey former estate offices block to west. Pitched slate roof with red brick chimneystack and rubble stone parapets to gables. Rubble stone walls throughout. Square-headed window openings with rendered reveals and sills to front (east) elevation, having tooled limestone voussoirs and keystones with replacement timber and metal casement windows. Square-headed door openings throughout with timber battened doors. Some having tooled limestone surrounds, lintels and tooled limestone voussoirs with keystones. Detached six-bay single-storey former servants' accommodation block to north. Pitched slate roof with recent rooflights. Rubble stone walls with dressed limestone string course below eaves. Square-headed window openings with stone sills and dressed lime stone voussoirs to front (south) elevation, having four-over-four pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed door openings with dressed rubble stone voussoirs to front elevation, having glazed timber and timber battened doors. Pair of round-headed carriage arch openings with rubble stone voussoirs and impost blocks to front elevation, having replacement glazed timber doors with overlights and sidelights. Set facing onto cobbled courtyard. Set within the grounds of Garrettstown House.

Description
Pair of entrances, built c.1720. Entrance to immediate east of house comprising rubble stone walls with square-profile dressed limestone gate piers with acorn finials, having wrought-iron single- and double-leaf gates. Second gate to east, forming roadside entrance, having rubble stone walls with circular profile rubble stone gate piers, surmounted by ball finials.
