  Description

  Above stream leading into Rossmore Bog and Ihernagh River. Multiperiod L-shaped 2 storey corn mill retains mill machinery. According to miller, the present inward-flow turbine in wheel pit along N elevation, replaced vertical overshot water-wheel (diam. 24 feet) in 1940s. Turbine still powers machinery via belts and pulleys including a pair of enclosed french burr stones at 1st floor. Robinson Roller Mill, Bramford rapid hammer mill also present. According to miller W section used as Carding mill in 19th century. Tuck mill to E along same mill race. Small, mid-19th-century single storey rectangular structure. Miller remembered a wooden waterwheel (diam. 14 feet; Wth 2 feet) along N elevation. Now a piggery. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.   Description

  In rough grazing on N and E-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 10m) enclosed by earth and stone bank (H 4m). Some possible grave markers in interior.   Description

  In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. Circular area (32m N-S; 30m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (max. int. H 0.8m; ext. H 2m), with revetment slabs along inner face to NE, SE and WNW. Outer stone facing appears to be modern. Break in bank to SSE (Wth 3m); partially blocked by rubble. Souterrain in interior (CO121-094---).
