  Description

  In pasture, on lower SE-facing slope of Milane Hill. Circular area (33m N-S; 35m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.8m); shallow external fosse to W. Modern break in bank to E (Wth 3.6m); second gap to W (Wth 1.8m) with sharp drop on outside. Interior slightly raised, especially to N. Surrounding field fences removed. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
