  Freestanding cast-iron water hydrant, erected c. 1890, having fluted shaft and cap, decorative banding and lions head motif. Finial missing. Recently installed tap.

• Saint Mary's Catholic Church, church/chapel, 1810–1830 · Regional interest
  Description

  Freestanding single-cell gable-fronted Roman Catholic church, built c. 1820, having single-bay pedimented entrance porch to front (north) gable, four-bay nave elevation, two-bay gabled sacristy to south gable and having shallow chapel with hipped slate roof to east elevation. Pitched slate roofs with rendered coping and eaves course and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls with smooth render plinth course and quoins, smooth render pointed arch niches to front elevation, render Doric pilasters and holy water stoups to front porch. Square-headed door openings to east and west elevations of porch, having timber panelled double-leaf doors. Pointed arch openings to nave with stained glass and leaded windows, and to sacristy with replacement uPVC door and window. Timber gallery, carved marble altar railings and furniture and mosaic tiles to altar to interior.

  Detached L-plan three-bay two-storey parochial house, built c. 1880, having full-height gabled projecting west bay to front (north) elevation and single-bay gabled porch to front elevation, with two-bay slightly lower two-storey return to west side of rear (south) elevation, with flat-roofed single-bay single-storey extension to south gable. Pitched slate roofs with rendered chimneystacks, decorative timber bargeboards and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls with roundel to gable and render plinth course. Pointed arch opening to front elevation of porch with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash window, square-headed opening to west elevation of porch with one-over-one pane timber sliding sash window. Square-headed opening with one-over-one pane timber sliding sash window with leaded coloured glass to rear elevation. Square-headed opening with decorative timber panelled door to east elevation of porch. Square-headed openings with uPVC windows to all other elevations, render sill course to first floor. Multiple-bay two-storey outbuilding to rear of site with pitched slate roof having rendered chimneystack, roughcast rendered walls, square-headed openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash window, timber casement windows and timber battened doors.

Replacement uPVC windows and doors to rear elevation. Single-bay single-storey outbuilding to front of site, having pitched corrugated-iron roof, rendered walls and square-headed openings. Rendered boundary wall and square-profile piers, wrought-iron pedestrian gate.
