  Description

  Not shown on 1842, 1904 and 1946 OS 6-inch maps. Location marked on 1904 OS 6-inch map by Munster Archaeological Survey (UCC). In level pasture, on S side of Cloneera Wood. Removed; no visible surface trace. Conlon (1918, 125) noted three stones here in marshy ground, two standing and one prostrate. A is 2 feet high, 1 foot 6 inches broad, 11 inches thick. B is 3 feet 9 inches hight, 2 feet 8 inches broad, 11 inches thick, 4 feet 10 inches from A. C (prostrate); is 5 feet 8 inches long, 3 feet 5 inches broad, 2 feet 4 inches thick, 4 feet 1 inch from B'. He suggested that there may have been a stone circle here as there were several other stones lying around. • CO069-092 Enclosure
  Description

  Described by Colm Chambers as 'circular, 5 metres in diameter internally and 12 metres externally. The floor of the enclosure is raised 50cm or more above the external ground level. The bank is of stone and some earth and its maximum height is 1.7 metres, to the NE. There does not appear to be an entrance. There is possibly the remains of an external fosse'.
