Description
In level pasture. Circular area (38m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1m); external fosse (D 0.8m); possible counterscarp bank (H 0.2m). Gaps in bank to N and SSE. Souterrain (CO095-05602-) in interior. Earthen field fence encircles site SW->SE, varying between 19m distant to S and 39.8m distant to N. Description
In ringfort (095-05601-). According to McCarthy (1977, 368) this souterrain is mainly earth cut but with some stone building and consists of 2 or more chambers and a passage. No visible trace. Description
Circular area (35.4m N-S; 34.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1m) E->W; scarp (H 1.75m) elsewhere. External fosse survives as slight depression inside field fence tangential to N side of enclosure. Break in bank to E (Wth 5m); modern gap to NW.
