Description
In pasture, atop hill. Circular slightly raised area (internal diam. 27m E-W; 24m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.22m; ext. H 1.62m). Bank heavily overgrown; best preserved E->NW; incorporated into field fence system to S. Cattle gap in bank to NE (Wth 0.5m) and NNW (Wth 1.4m). Interior planted with coniferous trees; N half level, S half higher, sloping down to N. Aerial photographic evidence suggests that this ringfort was levelled in the late 1990s. Description
In pasture. Circular area (39m E-W; 36m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.05m; ext. H 1.3m); shallow external fosse (D 0.2m). Bank overgrown with briars and bushes; entrance (Wth 3m) to W. Fosse survives as gentle slope down to base of bank. Interior grass covered and level. Aerial photographic evidence suggests that this ringfort was levelled in the late 1990s.
