In flat area of rough pasture c. 50m W of Cooleenlemane river. Two boulder burials and possible third form part of complex which includes five-stone circle (CO105-00404-) and pair of standing stones (CO105-00405-). One stands 2m SW of axial stone; cover-stone (1.5m x 1.3m; T 1.2m) rests on three support stones. Another boulder (1.4m x 0.9m; T 0.9m) 4.5m to S; possible cover-stone of boulder burial; no support stones visible. Two support stones of another boulder burial c. 4.5m to S; displaced cover-stone (1.9m x 1.5m; T 1.3m) lies beside them to S. (O Nualláin 1978, 87, no. 11) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). Description
In flat patch of rough pasture, c. 50m W of Cooleenlemane river. Circle complete; entrance stones, set end-on to circumference, are broken; only stumps remain. The five orthostats are 0.6m to 1m L, 0.15m to 0.2m T and the three intact stones are 0.75m to 1.2m H. Internal measurement along main axis, aligned NE-SW, is 2.5m. Complex comprises of three boulder burials (CO105-004001-) to SW, and pair of standing stones (CO105-004005-) to S. Description
In flat area of rough pasture land, c. 50m W of Cooleenleman river. Stones, aligned NNE-SSW, stand 0.8m apart. NE stone is 0.7m L by 0.4m T and 0.75m H. Second stone is 0.45m L by 0.3m T and 1.2m H. Part of complex also comprising three boulder burials (CO105-00401-; CO105-00402-; C0105-00403-) to W and five-stone circle (CO105-00404-) to NNW.
