Description
Built by George Allman in 1825; on tributary of Bandon river just E of Bandon (O'Flanagan 1988, 13). Large complex, built on split level around central yard enclosed by high wall. Most early 19th century structures levelled or rebuilt. Well preserved NW range of residential/commercial structures. Imposing 5-storey corn store (date plaque 1870) to SW of complex. Description
Corner-sited three-bay three-storey former distillery office, built c.1825, having later three-bay two-storey addition to side (north-east) with three-bay single-storey flat-roofed addition and single-bay single-storey additional garage to rear (south-east). Now in use as public house. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks, gable copings and replacement aluminium rainwater goods. Hipped artificial slate roof with aluminium rainwater goods to side addition. Bitumen clad flat roofs to rear additions with uPVC rainwater goods. Rendered walls with render quoins to front and side (north-east and south-west) elevations, roughcast rendered wall with render quoins to rear (south-east) elevation. Render string courses to front and side (south-west) elevations. Rendered walls to flat-roofed additions. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls to rear elevation of side addition. Diminishing square-headed window openings with moulded raised rendered surrounds, to front and rear elevations, having tooled limestone sills to first and second floors front elevation render sills elsewhere, having uPVC casement windows. Timber casement window with wrought-iron window guard to ground floor rear elevation of house. Round-headed stairwell window opening with render sill to front elevation, having raised render surround and margined timber casement window. Round-headed door opening to front elevation, having raised moulded render surround enclosing timber doorcase. Channelled pilasters with scrolled capitals, surmounted by architrave, having timber panelled door flanked by round-headed timber glazed sidelights, surmounted by decorative spoked fanlight. Square-headed door openings with recent concrete canopies flanked by concrete block pilasters to front elevation of side elevation, having double-leaf timber battened doors and to side elevation of main block having snecked rubble stone clad pilasters. Square-headed door opening to side (north-east) elevation of flat-roofed addition to additional block with timber battened door. Cast-iron stairwell with lattice braced parapets to rear elevation of flat-roofed addition. Stone block and brick enclosing walls with pointed arch door opening having polychrome red and yellow-brick voussoirs, tooled limestone step and timber battened door. Stone corbelled yard to rear with remains of tracks for tram.

Description
Detached former distillery complex, established 1825, incorporating earlier mill, dated 1816, and later addition, dated 1878. Now in ruins. Complex comprising multiple-bay three-storey distillery with upper floors removed, having three-bay return to side (north-west) and three-bay three-storey block to eastern end of side (north-west) elevation. Roughly dressed rubble stone walls with tooled stone quoins and date plaques to front (south-west) elevations. Red brick string courses and quoins to front and side (north-west) elevations of three-bay three-storey block. Camber-headed window openings with red brick voussoirs and block-and-start surrounds to front and rear (north-east) elevations with timber battened shutters. Square-headed window openings with red brick voussoirs, block-and-start surrounds to front and side (north-west) elevations, formally having timber battened shutters. Camber-headed former carriage arches having red brick voussoirs to front elevation, having red brick block-and-start surrounds with carved keystones. Pointed arch door openings to front and side (north-west) elevations of three-storey block, having red brick voussoirs, soffits, red brick block-and-start surrounds, now blocked to front and first floor of side (north-west) elevation. Former timber battened doors to ground floor openings of side (north-west) elevations. Round-headed door opening to front elevation of three-storey block having red brick voussoirs and block-and-start surrounds, now blocked. Camber-headed archway, partially blocked to side (north-east), with round-headed door opening, having red brick voussoirs and surrounds. Earthen ramp to rear rising to site of holding pool to south-east of distillery, now filled in. Detached six-bay two-storey outbuilding with recent porch to front (south-west). Pitched replacement slate roof with cast-iron rainwater goods. Coursed rubble stone walls with tooled limestone quoins. Camber-headed window openings having red brick voussoirs, block-and-start surrounds and rendered sills to ground floor of front (south-west) and side (north-west) elevations, having timber casement windows with wrought-iron window guards. Camber-headed door opening with glazed timber door with side light to western end of front elevation, having double-leaf timber battened door. Recent corrugated-iron silos and outbuildings to north-east of main block. Rubble stone boundary walls.

Description
Freestanding three-bay five-storey gable-fronted former distillery, dated 1870, having recent single-bay double-height lean-to store to rear (south-east). Now in use as retail outlet. Pitched corrugated-iron roof with rendered red brick gable copings and moulded red brick eaves course. Ceramic red brick tiles to eaves of side (north-east, south-west) elevations, having tooled stone corbels and rendered finials to side (south-east), having replacement aluminium rainwater goods. Roughly dressed stone block pedestal to gable of front (north-west) elevation with moulded red-brick corbels and capping. Dressed limestone walls with rusticated limestone quoins. Render date plaque flanked by sheaves of corn to third floor of front elevation. Camber-headed window openings with rendered red brick sills, red brick voussoirs and block-and-start surrounds throughout, having double-leaf timber battened shutters with wrought-iron window guards. Red and yellow brick polychrome voussoirs to front (north-west) elevation openings. Square-headed window openings to ground floor of side (north-east) elevation having chamfered reveals and wrought-iron window guards. Camber-headed loading bays having red brick voussoirs and block-and-start surrounds to rear and side (north-east) elevations, having double-leaf timber battened doors. Blocked former loading bays to fourth floor originally accommodating gantries linking associated building to north-east. Camber-headed door openings with red and yellow brick voussoirs to front elevation, having double-leaf timber battened doors with wrought-iron hinges and locking bar. Camber-headed door opening with moulded red brick voussoirs and block-and-start surrounds to side (north-east) elevation and fourth floor of rear elevation, having tooled limestone step and steel panelled door. Square-headed entrance having recent frieze and rolling steel battened rolling door.
