  Description

  In pasture, atop rock outcrop, on N-facing slope. Circular area (30.5m N-S; 30m E-W) defined by grass-covered earth and stone bank (H 0.65m). Bank topped by stone wall; gap in wall to SE, exposing line of original bank. Ground falls steeply for c. 5m from base of bank to N. Recent field clearance material dumped on outer bank face to N and E. Interior level and used for grazing. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
