  In pasture, atop E-W ridge, overlooking River Blackwater to N. Depicted on 1938 OS 6-inch map as circular area (diam. c. 40m) enclosed by bank, with second bank surviving SSE->NW. Levelled apart from double earthen bank SSW->NW with intervening fosse. Inner bank (int. H 1m) and outer bank (ext. H 1.15m) are planted with mature deciduous trees. Interior encroached on by farmyard of Rathduane House; large shed built in SW quadrant. According to local information, souterrain (9103) in interior.   In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope, overlooking Blackwater River. Circular area (30m N-S; 28.45m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.3m). Gap (Wth 1.9m) in bank to ESE. Interior and bank partially overgrown with trees. According to Broker (1937, 50) 'in fort field', enclosed by 'double fence. Partially levelled'.   In pasture, on SE-facing slope, 70m to E of ringfort (8558). Circular area (30.5m N-S; 30.5m E-W) enclosed by substantial earthen bank (int. H 2m), planted with mature deciduous trees; second bank (H 0.45m) with intervening fosse (D 0.5m) survives ESE->W. At inner bank face of second bank to SW is exit of possible stone-lined field drain (0.45m square; D 0.5m).   In ringfort (8559). Broker (1937, 50) recorded 'passage' and stone-built 'underground chamber', '7 feet long, 3 feet wide and 4 feet high'. He also mentioned three flag stones on ground and two similar stones at entrance to chamber. All stones 'removed by owner in 1924'. Two hollows in NW quadrant now indicate location of souterrain.
