Description
In rough hill grazing, on bog, in a sheltered hollow on the N-facing slopes of Shehy More. A roughly rectangular area (7.6m N-S; 4m E-W) is enclosed by a roughly built, partially collapsed, drystone wall (T 0.8m; max. H 1.1m). The entrance is unclear due to collapse. Rushes obscure the level interior. A hut site (CO093-089----) lies c. 100m to the NW. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009

Description
In rough hill grazing, on bog, on a terrace on the N-facing slopes of Shehy More. The remains of a D-shaped hut site (2.5m N-S) with a straight S side (L 2.6m) are defined by the jumbled lower courses of a drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.8m). The stone wall protrudes above the surface of the bog. The straight S side is cut (D 0.7m) into the upslope at the S. Loose stones are scattered in the E-sloping interior. There is an entrance (Wth 0.6m) at the E. An enclosure (CO093-088----) lies c. 100m to the SE. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009
- CO093-110 Enclosure
Description
Partial remains of a large enclosure in rough grazing just to the east of cleared fields and to the west of semi mature forestry. It is situated on a level area on a north facing slope with a stream running to the east at its base. The valley rises to the west and the summit of Shehy Mountain. The enclosure would have been roughly circular in plan but the eastern half has been cleared probably during the making of the field adjacent to it. It has a N-S D of 24m. The enclosing wall is made of single stones with a maximum H of 0.9m. Complide by: Tony Miller Date of upload: 2 March 2016
