Description
In pasture, on W-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; circular area (43m N-S) enclosed by shallow fosse with low external rise to W. Earthworks may represent remains of bivallate site whose inner bank (shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map) has been totally destroyed, and whose outer bank was not depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map but which partially survives to W. In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope, c. 150m N of Awbeg River. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; circular area (21.8m ENE-WSW) enclosed by two low banks with intervening fosse. Outer bank (H 0.25m) truncated on S side by field boundary. Description
Depicted as hachured rectangular enclosure (c. 25m E-W; c. 20m N-S) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, with lime kiln at SW corner. In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope, c. 200m E of Awbeg River; adjoining W side of farmyard. Rectangular area defined on N (L 26.5m) and W sides (L 24m) by stone-faced earthen bank (int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.25m); on E side by farm building; on S side by block wall with gate at centre. Interior appears to be raised slightly above level of surrounding ground.
