  Description

  In pasture on break in N-facing slope. Heavily overgrown subcircular area (diam. c. 30m) enclosed by earthen bank to N; by stone fencing elsewhere. No grave markers noted in interior. Anamolous stone group (CO142-001002-) in W half. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). • CO142-001002 Anomalous stone group
  Description

  In W half of disused burial ground (CO142-001001-). Two stones, both rectangular in plan; long axis NW-SE; 1.8m apart. Taller stone to SW (H 1.8m; 0.9m x 0.1m); second stone (H 1.6m; 0.7m x 0.5m) leans heavily to SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.   Description

  Within the NE corner of a burial ground (CO142-001001-). Two standing stones are depicted but not named on the 1842 OS 6-inch map to the E of an anomalous stone group (CO142-001002-). The burial ground has been largely cleared of overgrowth and only the stones from the anomalous stone group are visible. There is no local knowledge of the two possible standing stones.
