• Bridge, 1900–1910 · Regional interest
  Description

  Triple-arch former railway bridge, built c. 1909, carrying small road over the former Strabane to Letterkenny narrow gauge railway line. Railway line now out of use with tracks removed (c. 1960). Squared and coursed rubble stone construction to spandrels, parapets, and piers; chamfered rendered coping over parapets. Cut stone block-and-start quoins to piers below arch springing point. Round-headed arches with rendered voussoirs; ruled-and-lined render detailing to arch ring, and with cement rendered finish to arch barrel. Tarmacadam deck with grass verges. Located in the rural countryside to the south-east of Letterkenny.

  Description

  Single-arched bridge carrying road over small unnamed stream, built c. 1800. Segmental-headed arch with dressed stone voussoirs; squared rubble stone construction to arch barrel. Squared and coursed rubble stone construction to spandrels and abutments. Rubble stone construction to parapets with rubble stone or field stone coping over. Modern repairs in places; repaired parapet to north-west Tarmacadam deck grass verges. Located in the rural countryside to the south-east of Letterkenny.

  Description

  Detached three-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c. 1790, having single-bay single-storey extension to the north-east and two single-bay single-story outbuildings attached to the south-west. Pitched corrugated-metal roof having rubble stone chimneystacks to the gable ends. Slightly battered lime rendered rubble stone walls with painted plinth course. Square-headed window openings with painted concrete sills and one remaining one-over-one pane timber sliding sash window and one replacement window. Central square-headed doorway having battened timber door with timber lintel over. Single-bay single-storey extension to the north-east having pitched corrugated-metal roof, rendered rubble stone walls, and square-headed window opening. Two attached single-bay single-storey outbuildings to the south-west having pitched corrugated-metal roofs, rubble stone walls, and square-headed doorways with battened timber doors and timber lintels over. Set back from road (at right-angle to road-alignment) with yard to front (east) having single-storey outbuilding to the east side with pitched corrugated-metal roof, rubble stone walls, and square-headed doorway with battened timber door; open single-storey shed attached to the north. Laneway to house from road to the south. Site surrounded by trees. Located in the rural countryside to the south-east of Letterkenny and the north-west of Raphoe.

  Triple-arch bridge, built c.1908, carrying road over former Strabane to Letterkenny railway line. Coursed rubble stone walls and parapets, latter with rendered chamfered copings. Raised rendered voussoirs to round arches, with chamfered margins on rendered rusticated piers.

• Farmyard complex, 1820–1840 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached three-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1830, having lower single-bay section (possibly former outbuilding) attached to north end, and with single-storey outbuildings attached to south end. Pitched corrugated-iron roof to house and addition, lacking rainwater goods, with lime-rendered rubble stone chimneystacks. Square-headed openings with painted concrete sills, single one-over-one pane timber sliding sash window and one replacement timber to front, and timber battened door, latter having timber lintel. Two-bay outbuilding to north with pitched corrugated-iron roof, and single-bay outbuilding attached to north of that with corrugated-asbestos roof, both having lime-rendered rubble walls and square-headed timber battened doors; lower single-bay lean-to outbuilding at right angle to form courtyard to front of two-bay outbuilding. Range of single-storey outbuildings opposite, comprising lean-to building with timber-boarded front, two-bay open-fronted building with flat roof and stone, and building with pitched roof, all with corrugated-iron roofs.
