  Description

  Situated on the S bank of the river Liffey. According to Ball (1906, 81) the 18th-century mansion of Woodville occupied the site of Ballydowd Castle.   Limekiln depicted immediately to the north-east of a quarry on the 1837 ed. OSi six-inch map. Standing on the demesne lands of Woodville House (DU017-006----) standing 220m to the north with avenue to the house 50m to the west.  Not indicated on the last edition of the OSi six-inch map.
