Description
Close to seashore c.50m S of td. boundary. Known in 19th C as 'Guaire na bPaistide' or 'Reilig na bPaistide', it consists of an indistinct subcircular area (D c. 3-5m) of low mounds and a few small boulders (info. T. Robinson). Not visited. Periwinkle and limpet shells, charcoal and what appear to be animal bones are exposed in the dune face and on the ground surface over an area c. 7-10m in length and c. 2-3m wide. Description
In a low-lying area close to NW foot of Doon Hill. Recorded by O'Flaherty in 1684 as 'a well in memory of the seaven [sic] daughters' (Hardiman 1846, 109), it consists of a small spring delimited by a low rectangular grass-covered wall (2m by 1.8m) opening to N.
