  Description

  On a S-facing slope. This poorly preserved rectangular enclosure (c. 65m N-S; c. 56m E-W) is defined by a bank and external fosse; best preserved at S. A field wall cuts across the monument at WNW and ENE and another wall extends from this and cuts the enclosing element at SW. • GA105-094 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a steep rise in undulating pastureland. This oval rath (33m NE-SW; 28m NW-SE), in fair condition, is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank survives from N to ENE and from SSE to SW. The fosse is visible all round. The outer bank is evident from ENE to SSW and from NNW to N. At W the natural slope of the hill has been incorporated into the enclosing element. There is a causewayed entrance gap at ENE. A field boundary cuts across the monument from N to SSW.
