  Description

  On a S-facing slope in undulating pastureland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (c. 50m NNW-SSE) defined by a bank and external fosse from SE through W to NW. The bank is overgrown with thorn bushes. A children's burial ground (GA084-076001-) is associated.   Description

  Within the W sector of a rath (GA084-076----). This children's burial ground is defined by a densely overgrown roughly square area (c. 2m N-S; c. 2m E-W) within which a number of small set stones indicate graves. • GA084-077 Cist
  Description

  A rectangular slab-built cist (L 0.5m; Wth 0.4m), aligned N-S, was discovered in 1934 when sand was being removed from a sand pit. It contained the cremated bones of an adult, many fragments of pottery, a flint knife and two or three flint scrapers (Waddell 1975, 16; 1990, 93). The cist and its contents were subsequently transferred to the college museum in University College Galway. However, their present location is unknown.
