Description
In undulating grassland overlooking bogland to E. Subcircular rath (N-S 24.5m, E-W 22.3m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is present only from NE to E and from S to SW; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element. Gap at ESE could be original. A ringfort (GA016-070----) lies c. 350m to W. Description
On a rise in otherwise level grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (NW-SE c. 30m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The outer bank is present from SSW to W. Description
In gently undulating grassland on E bank of the River Clare. Poorly perserved subcircular rath (N-S 31m, WSW-ENE 28.6m) defined by a bank, no visible surface trace of which survives from WSW to N. Description
On the summit of a hillock, 80m SE of a ringfort (GA016-071----). Poorly preserved subrectangular enclosure (E-W 58m, N-S 30m) defined on E and S sides by an earthen bank, and by a scarp along N side. A field bank delimits W side. Possibly a landscape feature. - Liskeevy Bridge, bridge, 1700–1850 · Regional interest
Description
Multiple-arch limestone road bridge, built in two phases, over River Clare. Earlier phase, c.1725, comprises small round arches, three at west end of bridge and one at east, with small narrow voussoirs. Wide segmental river arch is c.1840, inserted when river was drained, and has larger blocks of squared rubble limestone. Large blocks of rusticated limestone form copings to parapet.
