  Description

• GA097-135 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  In gently rolling grassland. A poorly preserved oval rath (c. 45m NW-SE; c. 30m NE-SW) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank, which is overlain by a field wall, is visible from NW to SE; a scarp forms the enclosing element from SE to SW. The fosse and outer bank survive from NW to SE. A laneway cuts through the monument from NW to SW and no visible surface trace survives to the W of it. • GA097-136 Ringfort - cashel
  Description

  In low-lying reclaimed pastureland. This poorly preserved and heavily overgrown cashel (47.5m N-S; 46.5m E-W) is almost circular in plan. It is defined by a collapsed drystone wall (Wth 2.7m at E; int. H 0.5m) that is overlain by a later field wall from SW through N to ENE; elsewhere it is delimited by a grassed-over bank of earth and stone.
