  Description

  On a ridge in low-lying grassland. Circular rath (D 40.5m), in fair condition, defined by a bank and external fosse. A scarp forms the enclosing element at NE and SE. Possible entrance at SE. Centrally placed within the interior is a subrectangular structure of earth and stone (L 18m, Wth 12m) with a central oval depression (L 6m, Wth 3m).   Description

  On a rise in rolling grassland. Subcircular rath (N-S 38m, E-W 34.5m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The outer bank is present from NE through S to SW; no visible surface trace survives elsewhere. Numerous gaps in the enclosing elements appear modern. A field bank cuts the monument at N.   Description

  On the top of a rise in rolling grassland. Subcircular ringfort (E-W 47.8m, N-S 45m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse.   Description

  Within a ringfort (GA030-104----). The burials are indicated by rough limestone grave-markers arranged in rows running N-S, indicating graves aligned E-W. Some stone-lined graves are also visible. According to local information, the interior of the ringfort was used as the local burial ground until the graveyard, adjacent to St Patrick's RC church, was opened in Cartron td., 1 km to NE.   Description

  In grassland within the former Gallagh Demesne. A very poorly preserved circular enclosure (D c. 50m) noted during aerial reconnaissance in July 1965 (CUCAP AIR 74). It was enclosed by two, possibly three, earthen banks and intervening fosses. Only faint traces of a bank and external fosse are identifiable on the ground.
