  Description

  On a rise in otherwise level grassland. Marked on the OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m). According to local information, the monument was defined by a ‘ring of earth and stone’.   Description

  On a rise in undulating pastureland. This circular rath (diam. c. 40m), in fair condition, is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. Both banks are clearly visible from S through W and N to E and the fosse is evident from SW through W and N to NE. • GA106-150 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a rise in low-lying pastureland. This circular rath (diam. c. 35m), in fair condition, is defined by a tree-lined bank. From ENE to ESE some field-clearance material has been dumped against it outer face. No visible trace of the fosse is evident. There is a causewayed entrance gap at ENE.   Description

  Within the SSW sector of the interior of a rath (GA106-150----). An L-shaped hollow (D 1.3m) may mark the site of a collapsed souterrain.   Description

  On a prominent hill in pastureland. Well-preserved roughly circular rath (diam. c. 35m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. There is a causewayed entrance gap (Wth 1.6m) at ESE. A field wall overlies the outer bank from S through W to N. A souterrain (GA106-151001-) lies in the NW quadrant of the interior.   Description

  In the NW quadrant of a rath (GA106-151----). This well-preserved drystone-built souterrain (L >13.5m) consists of two chambers connected by a creep. The 1st chamber (L 3.9m; Wth 1.9m) runs ESE-WNW. Access is gained at its ESE end. A creep (L 1.9m; Wth 0.8m; H c. 0.4m) at the N end of the W side-wall leads to the 2nd chamber (L 7.6m; Wth 1.8m; H 1.7m) which runs NNE-SSW. • GA106-152 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a rise in otherwise level pastureland. When visited in March 1983 this fairly well-preserved circular rath (diam. c. 25m) was defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank was clearly visible though its perimeter was overgrown with bushes. The fosse and outer bank survived only from W to NNW. A gap in the inner bank at N appeared to be original. There was a souterrain (GA106-152001-) in the W sector of the interior. On a revisit in December 2013 it was noted that the outer bank had been levelled.   Description

  In the W sector of a rath (GA106-152----). This drystone-built chamber (L > 12m; max. Wth 2.3m; max. H 1.9m), running N-S, curves slightly from the point of access at its N end to the back wall. An intermittent stone-lined depression suggests that it extended further to the N before curving to the NE and then to the SE.   Description

  Cast-iron post box, erected c.1915, with G.R. insignia and raised crown motif, with 'Post Office' to flap. Maker's mark W. T. Allen and Co. London. Set in boundary wall.
