• GA006-122002 Bullaun stone
  Description

  This bullaun stone lies to the NNW of the graveyard (GA006-12200-) and c. 3m to the W of a small stream. It is visible in the N half of a subrectangular limestone slab (L 1.5m; Wth 0.8m; T 0.2m). The basin (0.35m E-W; 0.3m N-S; D 0.18m) is subcircular in plan and narrows towards the base (diam. 0.15m). A small fissure runs off it at NW. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 8 August 2019

• GA006-122003 Church
  Description

  Centrally placed within a rectilinear graveyard (GA006-122004-). Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch maps as a rectangular roofed building (c. 18m by c. 5m), aligned ENE-WSW, but labelled thereon as 'in Ruins'. Evidently demolished by the time of 3rd ed. (1930) when the words 'Site of' are appended. No visible surface trace survives. • GA006-122005 Ecclesiastical enclosure
  Description

  On flat ground in a house cluster called Templetogher, through which flows a stream on a roughly SSW-NNE axis. The visible remains comprise a group of monuments of ecclesiastical character centred on a church (GA006-122003-) and graveyard (GA006-122004-) on E bank of the stream. Immediately outside the graveyard to W, a gently curving low earthen bank (Wth 1.5-2m, H 0.4m max.) and traces of an external fosse are visible from SW through W to NW. This is possibly the remains of an early ecclesiastical enclosure. There is a bullaun (GA006-122002-) and a holy well (GA006-122006-) on W bank of the stream, 55m NNW and 85m N of the church respectively. The 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1930) also shows 'St. Patrick's Shrine' (GA006-122001-), 140m to NNE. Situated on W bank of the stream, it now comprises a statue of the saint, and a water-filled trough, set in a circular concrete surround erected in 1962. Finally, there is a 19th-C corn mill and kiln on the bank of the stream to W of the church.
