Description
On a low hill overlooking marshy land to the N. Subcircular rath (25.3m NE-SW; 22.3m NW-SE), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank and fosse are visible all round. No visible surface trace survives of the outer bank from S through W to N and it is overlain by the townland boundary from N through E. Description
In a low-lying area of woodland and scrub. This subcircular cashel (35m NE-SW), fair condition, is defined by a much-collapsed drystone wall (Wth 0.9-2m; H 0.2-0.6m) that is obscured by overgrowth. Few facing-stones are visible. A gap (Wth 1.2m) at SSE appears to be modern. A rectangular structure (L 5.5m; Wth 1.2m) immediately to its SSW may be the remains of an outhouse. In the NW quadrant of the interior a linear stone-filled hollow may be the collapsed remains of a possible souterrain (GA128-079001-). Description
On the summit of a hillock in farmland. Oval enclosure (62m NE-SW), in fair condition, defined by a bank and external fosse. The fosse is extant from ESE through S to SSW. Description
On the SW-facing slope of a low ridge, overlooking an area liable to flooding to the SE. Very poorly preserved roughly circular cashel (diam. 38m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (base Wth 2.5m; Wth at top 1.2m; H 0.7m)that is overlain by a field boundary from SSE to WSW. Description
In grassland and rock outcrop. Very poorly preserved subcircular cashel (29m N-S; 26.2m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (base Wth 6.7-8.3m; Wth at top 1.4-2.4m; int. H 0.68-1m; ext. Description
Within the NW quadrant of a cashel (GA128-082----). This partially collapsed drystone-built souterrain (L >9.8m), consisting of three chambers, is roughly F-shaped in plan. Access is gained at the W end of the 1st chamber (L 3m; Wth 1.1m; H 1.5m) which runs E-W. The 2nd chamber (L 5m) extends from the E end of its S side-wall and runs N-S, extending 1m to the N of the junction with the 1st chamber. A 3rd chamber (L 1.8m; Wth 1.4m), which survives as a rubble-filled depression, extends southwards from near the W end of S side-wall of the 1st chamber. Description
In an area of rough grazing and rock outcrop; the area immediately around the monument is overgrown with briars and hawthorns. Very poorly preserved oval cashel (37.7m N-S; 32m E-W) defined by a grassed-over collapsed spread of stone (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.45m). Internal wall-facing is visible only at N.
