  Description

  In pasture, on a S-facing slope. The possible rath is levelled but it is visible as a slight rise (diam. c. 30m) in the field to the S of the townland boundary. It is indicated on the 1894 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) with the townland boundary skirting the N arc of the interior. • KE058-156 Kiln - lime
  Description

  In pasture, built into a S-facing slope close to a road. A mid/late 19th-century limekiln with well-built random rubble walls retaining an earthen core and roughly shaped quoins at the corners. The front elevation (Wth c. 8.8m; H c. 4m) faces S. The central semicircular arched recess (Wth 2.8m; H 1.5m; D 2.3m) has an internal horizontal lintel and sloping slabs to the rear. Two horizontal ledges run across the face of the kiln and extend around to the sides; the first ledge is c. 2m off the ground, the second c. 3m off the ground. There is an earthen ramp to the rear.
