  Description

  Description

  'This linear earthwork is situated in slightly marshy land c.100m to the west of the River Lee. The land is marginal, used for rough grazing and is probably prone to flooding. This earthen bank is in two sections. The first is 38.5m in length N-S and is 8.50m in width and has an average height of 1.00m. A separate section joins at the northern terminus of this bank. It is 18.5m in length, is 6.50m wide and has an average height of 0.40m. Function unknown - it may be related to the earthen bank which occurs in the archaeological complex at Lissooleen, which is situated just over 100m away on the eastern side of the river.'
