Description
In rough pasture, on top of a knoll, on a ridge. A circular area (9m N-S; 8.5m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.5m) which is stone faced SW-NW. The interior is raised (H 0.3m) above the external ground level and contains low uninscribed stone slabs orientated N-S. Trees are growing on the perimeter. This may be the 'cilleanach' recorded in Clonee townland in the 1930s by Capt. D. B. O'Connell and which he had never seen used (KAS). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011

Description
In level pasture, with views N over Kenmare Bay. According to local information, the earth and stone bank of a rath was levelled here in the 1930s. It is not visible at ground level. This is the rath recorded in Patrick Sullivan's land in the 1940s (SMCK) and also probably one of the 'two lisses' (see KE100-027001-) recorded by Capt. D. B. O'Connell in the 1930s in the townland (KAS). There is a possible souterrain (KE101-034001-) in the interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011
