Description
In level pasture, to the E of a cemetery. This possible rath is not visible at ground level. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m), with a possible external fosse N-E, is visible in an aerial photograph (CUCAP, BGK 2) taken in 1971. Description
A N-S humpback road bridge (Wth 5.8m) spanning the Deenagh River. Built of random rubble sandstone. Two semicircular arches (span 6.5m) with roughly shaped voussoirs. A low pointed cutwater occurs on the upstream side of the pier (Wth 0.9m). There is paving on the river-bed, under the arches. Two horizontal wooden beams are inserted at springing points under the arches. There is vertical stone coping on the parapets.
