  Description

  This enclosure, marked as a subcircular field on the second edition of the OS map, is located on the S side of a low hill in land devoted to pasture. Extensive overgrowth of trees and thicket prevented detailed inspection. Recent field boundaries overlie the original circular outline of the site. A section of battered walling at NE, carefully constructed of uniform coursed slabs, may be original. The interior of the site is raised at S to compensate for the slope of the land.   Description

  Little is preserved of the large enclosure marked at this location on the first edition of the OS maps. On the second edition it is depicted as a large subcircular field. The area has recently been ploughed and only a portion of the enclosing element at S remains extant. This survives as a boulder-faced wall with a rubble core, the upper courses of which have been rebuilt in recent times. It stands 1m in height and is 1.2m wide.
