  Description

  Internal diameter 35m N-S, 34m E-W This sub-circular univallate rath is situated in rising pastureland, and the view is excellent in all directions. The enclosing earthen bank is well defined and rises to 1m-1.8m above the interior and 2m-3m above the fosse. The external fosse is U shaped and has been deepened in modern times for drainage purposes. It is .8m-1.2m wide and 1.3m deep. The interior, which is very overgrown, is at a higher level than the surrounding land. A 5.4m wide gap exists to the E. The above description is derived from C.   Description

  Internal diameter c. 30.4m N-S, 30.2m E-W This univallate rath is situated one field NE of KE016-039----. It has been levelled and its extent can only be ascertained by a yellowing of the grass which marks the position of the bank, which would appear to have been 3m-4.5m wide.   Description

  This sub-circular enclosure appears on the 1841-42 OS map, where it has been cut on its S to W side by a fieldbank running NW-SE.   Description

  Internal diameter c. 40m N-S, c. 41.6m E-W This circular enclosure is marked on the 1841-42 and 1914-15 OS maps. It also shows up quite clearly on the Geological Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1974). This site has been levelled and is barely visible above the ground, though due to the different vegetation colours certain measurements can be taken. This possible bivallate rath consists of a circular inner area enclosed by an earthen bank, which is traceable from the NW through N to E to SE; it is 3.5m-5m wide. A fosse would appear to enclose this bank and ranges from 7m-12m in width. The outer bank can be traced for most of the site, except to the S to W, and is c 4m wide. A field ditch cuts the N sector of this site in an E-W direction. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
