Gateway, c.1835, comprising pair of cut-limestone piers with moulded cornices, decorative ball finials, cast-iron double gates and cut-limestone flanking walls having square-headed pedestrian gateways (appearing as segmental-headed from north-west) with decorative cast-iron gates.

Detached four-bay single-storey former gate lodge, c.1835, on a T-shaped plan with single-bay single-storey canted bay window to side elevation to south-east and single-bay single-storey lower return to rear to north-east having single-bay single-storey lean-to flanking bay to east. Now in use as offices. Gable-ended roof on a T-shaped plan with slate (polygonal to canted bay window; lean-to to flanking bay). Clay ridge tiles. Rendered chimney stacks. Overhanging timber eaves on paired brackets. Timber bargeboards to gables. Cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls. Painted. Rendered block-and-start detailing to corners. Square-headed openings (including to canted bay window to south-east). Stone sills (continuous to canted bay window). Block-and-start surrounds. 8/6 round-headed timber sash windows. Replacement glazed timber panelled door, c.1995. Set back from road in grounds shared with Straffan House (Hotel) adjacent to tarmacadam avenue with side (south-east) elevation fronting on to road.

Detached seven-bay two-storey country house with dormer attic, built 1832, retaining some original fenestration with single-bay full-height pedimented breakfront and nine-bay rear elevation to south having three-bay two-storey bowed projecting bay to centre. Extended, c.1850, comprising four-bay two-storey flat-roofed lower wing to east with single-bay four-stage Italianate campanile tower to north on a square plan. Renovated and truncated, c.1937, with entrance bay remodelled and pediment added. Renovated and extended, post 1949, with truncated portion restored and single-bay two-storey recessed end bay added to west having original prostyle tetrastyle Ironic portico inserted to ground floor. Extended, c.1990, comprising ten-bay two-storey wing with dormer attic to west on a cranked plan having pair of single-bay two-storey bowed projecting bays to south and three-bay three-storey split-level linking bay to east on a polygonal plan. Extended, c.2000, comprising eleven-bay two-storey wing with dormer attic to west having single-bay three-stage tower to north on a square plan. Now in use as hotel. Mansard roofs with slate (gabled to dormer attic windows). Rolled lead ridge tiles. Rendered chimney stacks. Rainwater goods not visible behind cut-stone blocking course. Flat-roofed to bowed projecting bays. Materials not visible behind cut-stone blocking courses. Rendered walls. Painted. Channelled to ground floor. Rendered dressings including moulded stringcourses, sill courses, quoined piers to corners and rendered band to eaves. Cut-stone blocking course to eaves with cut-stone surround to pediment. Moulded rendered dressings to original campanile tower including consoled string/sill courses and consoled cornice to top stage. Square-headed openings (including Venetian-style tripartite openings). Sills incorporated into plinth to ground floor. Moulded rendered string/sill course to first floor. Moulded rendered surrounds to first floor having pediments over (segmental to some openings). 3/3, 6/6 and 9/9 timber sash windows. Round-headed openings to ground floor breakfront. Moulded rendered surrounds. Glazed timber panelled double doors. Decorative fanlight. Lunette window to pediment. Cut-stone prostyle tetrastyle Ionic portico to additional entrance bay with frieze and moulded cornice. Fixed-pane timber casement windows to upper stages. Set back from road in own extensive landscaped grounds. Tarmacadam forecourt/carpark to front (north). Formal Italianate garden to rear (south) with pool and decorative fountain.

Detached nine-bay two-storey former stable complex, built 1832, on a quadrangular plan about a courtyard with single-bay full-height pedimented breakfront having round-headed integral carriageway, single-bay two-storey advanced end bays, ten-bay two-storey wings at right angles to east and to west, nine-bay two-storey wing to south completing quadrangle and originally with series of segmental-headed integral carriageways to interior of courtyard including second pedimented integral carriageway to south-east. Renovated, c.1995, to accommodate use as hotel. Hipped roof on a quadrangular plan with slate. Rolled lead ridge tiles. Rendered chimney stacks. Cast-iron rainwater goods on brackets. Roughcast walls. Unpainted. Cut-limestone breakfront with pediment over having cut-stone surround. Cut-limestone dressings including quoins to corners and stringcourse to first floor end bays. Cut-limestone to ground floor interior of courtyard with cut-limestone piers. Roughcast/pebbledashed to first floor. Square-headed window openings (in round-headed recessed niches to end bays having cut-limestone voussoirs). Stone sills. Cut-limestone block-and-start surrounds. 8/4 and 12/8 timber sash windows (some possibly replacement). Round-headed integral carriageway. Cut-limestone dressings including stringcourse to spring of arch and voussoirs. Some oculus windows to first floor to interior of courtyard. Cut-limestone voussoirs. Timber fittings. Series of segmental-headed integral carriageways to ground floor interior of courtyard remodelled, c.1995, to accommodate square-headed openings having glazed iron continuous canopy over on cast-iron pillars. Replacement timber casement windows, c.1995, on timber panelled plinths with decorative fanlights over. Replacement glazed timber double doors, c.1995, with sidelights and fanlights. Set back from road in grounds shared with Straffan House (Hotel). Tarmacadam drive off main avenue to front (north). Formal garden to courtyard.

Detached single-bay single-storey mass-concrete hydro-electric turbine engine house, c.1930, retaining early fenestration. Gable-ended roof with concrete. Mass-concrete walls. Unpainted. Square-headed openings. No sills. Iron swivel windows. Iron double doors approached by flight of concrete steps. Sited on north bank of River Liffey.
