Description
On S slopes of small E-W valley in rolling grassland. There good views E-W along the valley and across to N, it is overlooked by higher land to the S. Monument depicted on the 1st (1839) ed. 6-inch OS map as a small square enclosure (c. 24m sq.) with a road running NNE-SSW along the SE side, however, on the later 1900 revision it appears more circular in plan (diam. c. 29m), with the E-SE sector being truncated by the same roadway. When visited in 1986 there was little visible above ground and the interior was heavily overgrown. The enclosure appeared to form a terrace cut into the slope of the hillside with slight traces of an enclosing bank (int. H c. 0.5m; ext. H 0.1-0.4m). The monument is not visible on Digitalglobe satellite imagery (viewed 8 January 2018). Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 8 January 2018

Description
On the S side of an E-W valley, in rolling grassland. Monument depicted on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map as an oval enclosure (dims. c. 30m NE-SW; c. 23m NW-SE) with a quarry extending northwestward from the NW quadrant. Two field boundaries, both running E-W, extend eastward from the N and S quadrants respectively. The monument appears to have been levelled by 1900 as it is not indicated on that ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A circular depression in the field indicates the location of the enclosure. Description
On the S side and just above the floor of a small E-W valley with fair views in all directions. A raised platform, roughly circular in plan (max. dims. c. 45m) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth c. 2m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1-1.5m. The enclosure encompasses a natural hillock, with rock outcrop protruding at the centre. The raised summit of the hillock (H above interior 0.6m) runs NE-SW across the interior. There is no visible evidence of a fosse. There is a possible entrance (Wth c. 3m) at E, though this may simply be where the bank is more denuded.
