  Description

  Immediately E of a roughly N-S flowing stream, which appears to kink westward and form the W side of a possible enclosure, in alternating tillage and pasture.   Description

  Heavily overgrown with scrub. Indicated as a large sub-square enclosure on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map with a road running NW-SE along the straight NE side and the other sides, which also are depicted as straight, are enclosed by field boundaries, the E and S angles of the monument are shown as curving. On the 1900 revision the SE and SW sides are straight while the NE and NW sides are curving. The enclosure (dims. c. 75m NW-SE; max. 60m NE-SW) tapers towards the SE (c. 33m NE-SW).   Description

  Detached two-bay single-storey crossing master's house, opened 1850. Decommissioned, 1963. Now in private residential use. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond chimney stack, rendered coping, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered squared rubble limestone eaves. Random rubble limestone walls with dressed stone quoins to corners. Square-headed window openings with cut-limestone sills, painted red brick surrounds, and two-over-two timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with timber door. Set back from line of road in own grounds.

• Talbotshill Bridge, bridge, 1845–1855 · Regional interest
  Description

  Two-arch rubble limestone road bridge over railway line and stream, rebuilt 1850, possibly incorporating fabric of earlier bridge, pre-1840, on site. Random rubble limestone walls with rendered coping to parapets. Pair of segmental arches with cut-limestone voussoirs, and squared rubble stone soffits having render over. Sited spanning railway line and stream with overgrown grass banks to stream.
