  Description

  Situated on the floor of the Glenfarne valley, with a meandering S-N section of the Cornavannoge River c. 100m to the W at a point where it turns SSW. It was identified in archaeological testing (11E0417) for a re-alignment of the N16 Manorhamilton to Enniskillen road when it became visible as an expanse of burnt and broken stones in a clay matrix (dims 5.5m E-W; 4.8m N-S; T 0.25m) beneath 1.2m of peat.   Description

  Situated on the floor of the Glenfarne valley, with a S-N section of the Cornavannoge River c. 100m to the SE at a point where it turns E. It was identified in archaeological testing (11E0417) for a re-alignment of the N16 Manorhamilton to Enniskillen road when it became visible as an oblong feature (dims 4.28m x 1.28m; D 0.31 m) with evidence of burning at either end (MacLeod 2011, 4). It was subsequently excavated fully (12E0362) as Cornacloy 1 when it was found to be an oblong feature (dims 3.6m x 1.23m; D 0.28m) with four separate fills.
