  Description

  On top of a gentle rise. Circular grass covered area (int. diam. 26m N-S; 25.5m E-W) defined by an overgrown drystone wall (Wth 1.5m at W to 2.55m at NNE; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.5m) of large sandstone uprights with a rubble core, which is incorporated into a field wall NW-N. The original entrance cannot be identified. A circular hollow (diam. 1m; D 0.4m) in the NW quadrant contains loose boulders and limestone slabs, and may be the entrance to a souterrain (LE001-038001-). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). • LE002-006 Ritual site - holy well
  Description

  Towards the top of a rise in pasture. Marked only on the 1907 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as ‘Marshall’s Well’. It is described as a well which was formerly venerated (Faughnan 1943, file No. 145), and it had a cure for cattle ailments as recorded in the 1930s Schools Manuscript Collection (see this web-page access on 17/12/2015: http://www.duchas.ie/en/cbes/4602728/4598795) However, the well is not now visible at ground level. The area has been planted as a coniferous forest between 2000 and 2005 (OSAP). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. • Lennox's Bridge, bridge, 1800–1840 · Regional interest
  Description

  Seven-arch road bridge over the Drowes River, built c.1820, with random coursed stone, cut stone to arch-rings and full-height up and downstream V-cutwaters.

• Farm house, 1760–1840 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached four-bay single-storey direct entry farmhouse, c.1820. Timber sash windows and windbreak protecting the entrance. Limewashed stone walls raised to allow for a flatter pitch for the present corrugated-iron roof than the previous thatch would have had. Pitched corrugated iron roof with upright gables. Farmhouse faces directly onto road. Chimneystacks no longer present. Stone barns are arranged to form a small and attractive complex to the rear of the house.

• Lennox's Bridge, bridge, 1670–1740 · Regional interest
  Description

  Eight-arched bridge carrying road over the Drowes River, built c. 1700 and altered c. 1730, having V-profile rubble stone cutwaters to the piers to both elevations, brought up level with parapet coping. Segmental- and slightly pointed segmental-headed arches having dressed cut stone voussoirs to arches with chamfered faces; cement rendered finish to arch barrels (originally squared rubble stone) having projecting stones at arch springing points. Rubble and roughly coursed rubble stone construction to piers, parapets, and spandrels; rubble stone coping over parapets. Modern blockwork repairs in places, and cement render to side elevations in places. Rubble stone and rendered wing walls to either end. Tarmacadam deck with grass verges. Located to the south of Bundoran. Bridge spans border with County Leitrim to the south.
