  Description

  Situated in the SW corner of a field of pasture immediately N of a road, however burial ground originally extended to S side of road. On fairly level ground with good views to N, W and E. Named 'Grave Yard' on the 1840 OS 6-inch map and shown as a sub-rectangular enclosure (c. 35m N-S; c. 45m E-W) bisected by a road. Named 'Grave Yard (disused)' on the 1927 OS 6-inch map and only the NE quadrant of the enclosure is shown in the SW corner of a field immediately NW of the road. Only this section of the enclosure is now evident consisting of an arc of earthen bank (ext. H 0.4m; Wth 2.4m; int. H 0.1m) enclosing a wedge-shaped area (23m E-W; 14m N-S) otherwise defined by a field boundary to W and a public road to S. There are no evident gravemarkers. There is no evident trace of the enclosure on the W side of the field boundary or S of the road. Known locally as Cooneen graveyard and described in 1840 as following; 'Quoneen is a small burial place for children. It is supposed by the natives to be the place where Dean Story (formerly of Bilboa Court [LI015-017----]) was interred. It is about one chain [20m] in diameter' (OSNB, Doon parish, 49).   Description

  Bilboa Court described in 1840 as following; 'This was once the seat of the Rev.d Dean Story, by whom it was built between the years 1690 and 1700. He was also a Colonel under King William,. and after his death was interred in the same townland. After him the place was occupied by two other colonels successively, the last of whom was Col. Wilson in 1769. Since then it gradually decayed to its present state. Its ruin is now 3 story high in a square form, about 60 feet [18.3m] each side, and chiefly brick work, except the corners, doors, windows, etc., which are of cut stone. It has about 40 windows, besides numerous and spacious vaults & cellars, with the remains of orchards and other works' (OSNB, Doon parish).   Triple-arch humpback road bridge over the River Bilboa, built c. 1820. Segmental arches with cut voussoirs, dressed stone to spandrel walls. Cut limestone U-cutwaters to upstream and downstream elevations. Dressed stone parapet walls with dressed copings.

  Description

  Three-arch limestone road bridge over the River Bilboa, built c. 1880. Elliptical arches with rusticated limestone voussoirs, dressed limestone spandrel walls with cut limestone stringcourse. Rendered copings to parapet walls. Cut limestone V-cutwaters.

• Bilboa Court, country house, 1760–1800 · Regional interest
  Description

  Ruinous remains of former country house, built c. 1780. Remains of red brick rear wall of main structure. Range of outbuildings to north having mixed pitched corrugated-iron and slate roofs with red brick painted walls. Remains of rubble limestone garden walls located to east of main structure. Single-arch limestone bridge located south of the main structure, having rubble spandrel walls and dressed voussoirs to arch.
