• LI020-052 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  In pasture, on gentle SSE-facing slope, below brow of hill. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure on 1841 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. However, it is still evident as circular area (22m E-W) defined by very gradual scarped edge NE->W (H 1m; Wth 11.5m), which is truncated by passageway leading to newly constructed house W->NE. A pump house stands on top edge of scarp at SSW. Interior, under pasture, has shallow drain (D 0.1m; Wth 0.6m) crossing it on E-W axis. There is a dump of quarry stones near centre. • LI020-053 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  In marshy ground, on E edge of break in E-facing hillside. Site occupies NW corner of small paddock, immediately E of farmyard. Roughly circular area (30m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank (int. H 1m; ext. H 1.35m) best preserved at NW and S. Entrance at SW (Wth 5.4m) and cattle gap at N (Wth 2m). Interior, heavily masked by vegetation overgrowth, slopes down to E. There is an abandoned car in SE quadrant. Rubbish has been dumped against external bank face N->ENE. • LI020-135 Mill - unclassified
  Description

  On S bank of stream flowing NW to join River Deel. Fragmentary remains of rectangular structure survive in area between stream to N and steep rocky face to S; entire area covered by mature deciduous trees. West end of rectangular building (6m N-S) whose walls are reduced to foundation level except for short section (L c. 2m) of N wall which stands to c. 1.9m. North wall traceable for c. 5m; S wall traceable for 5.5m to where a square brick-built structure (L 2m) has been built on its line; this contains a hydraulic ram which supplied water to Nantinan House until c. 1970. On E side of brick structure, and c. 1.6m from it, is another section of low walling (L c. 2m; H c. 4m) which appears to be continuation of S wall of structure to W.
