  In rough pasture, on a gentle E-facing slope. Sub-circular area (18m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by scarped edge WNW-SSW (Wth 1.75m; H 0.5m) and by low earthen bank (Wth 5.45m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.5m) SSW-WNW; Gap (Wth 6m) in scarp at E. Trace of external fosse (Wth 5.65m; D 0.2m) S-NE. Cattle erosion of scarp evident at S.   On undulating pasture facing SW 15m NE of the townland boundary with Rootiagh. The ring-barrow (LI023-236001-) is one of five ring-barrows (LI023-236001/005-). The ring-barrows (LI023-236001/5-) form a linear cluster of sites c. 6m apart, roughly orientated in a NW-SE alignment. The ring-barrow is not depicted on historic OSi maps but is faintly visible on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 23701; AP 4/3634) as a circular ring-barrow (ext. diam. c. 7.5m). • LI023-305 Hut site
  Description

  In rough pasture, within enclosure LI023-101----. C-shaped area (5.6m N-S; 4.2m E-W) slightly off-centre to E of interior of enclosure. Banks are broad and linear (L 5.8m at N; L 3.95m at E; L 4.6m at S) with an opening entrance at W (Wth 1m). Banks are earthen. N-bank (overall Wth 5.8m; int. H 0.17m; ext. H 0.35m) and S-bank have been disturbed by ploughing ridge (long-axis NNW-SSE) on their western sides. Similarly the E-bank (Wth 3.95m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.25m) has a furrow on its exterior and this 'dip' of the furrow accentuates the present exterior height of the bank. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 31 October 2013

  Description

  In pasture, on an E-facing slope. Upright stone (H 1.05m) of limestone is sub-rectangular in plan (L 0.57m; T 0.28m); long-axis E-W. Natural fissures at base of E and W-face. Roughly rectangular in elevation, narrowing slightly towards the top. Edges smooth from cattle scratching and a slight depression around stone caused by cattle poaching.
