H 0.3m; ext. H 0.5m) and defined NE->SW by scarped edge (H c. 2.5m). Quantities of dumped quarried material cover NW quadrant of site including parts of enclosing bank.   Description

  In level area on NW-facing side of Barnagh Hill. Monument occupies buffer zone (extending c. 15m out from edge of monument) within newly planted coniferous plantation and is itself completely covered by mountain grass. Sub-rectangular area (13m NNW-SSE; 21m ENE-WSW) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1m; Wth 2.85m) with external fosse (Wth 1.6m; D 0.2m), except on S side where enclosure has been truncated by a straight E-W field boundary. Interior slopes down gently to NNW.   Description

  In level pasture. Circular area (28.9m N-S; 30.2m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.1m; ext. H 2.75m) with external fosse (D 0.75m; Wth 2.2m). Bank, overgrown with briars, has recent breach ENE->ESE (Wth 7.4m) where fosse is re-cut to act as drain for farm trackway which skirts enclosure on E side. Now evident as scarped edge (H 0.5m; Wth 4.1m) NNE->SSE, with external fosse (D 0.25m; Wth 5.9m) ENE->ESE. Steep-sided gully of stream appears to have defined edge of enclosure NNW->NNE. Enclosing element has been levelled ESE->SW. Field drain runs along base of fosse NW->NNE. Interior slopes down gently to S and is under rough marshy pasture. • Bridge, 1875–1885 · Regional interest
  Description

  Single-arch railway bridge, built c. 1880. Having round-headed arch with rusticated limestone voussoirs and dressed rubble stone soffits springing from roughly dressed limestone piers with rusticated capitals and quoins. Snecked roughly dressed limestone spandrels surmounted by low parapet walls with rusticated limestone cornices and capping to sides (east, west). Splayed snecked roughly dressed limestone abutments projecting from side (east, west) elevations having rusticated limestone coping with chamfered corners and battered piers with rusticated capping. Curved abutment walls to north elevation. Bridge forms part of the Limerick to Tralee Railway line which now forms part of the Southern Trail.
