• LI014-052 Burial ground
  Description

  Situated on a S-facing slope in gently rolling pasture, with good views in all directions. The monument is marked on the 1840 OS map as a circular area (diam. c. 40m) named 'Site of Burial Ground'. A find of human bones at this location is referred to in The Ordnance Survey Letters. There is was no evident trace of the monument at the site when inspected.   Description

  Detached four-bay single-storey lobby entry thatched house, built c. 1790, having windbreak to front (south) elevation. Hipped thatched roof with brick chimneystack. Render over rubble stone walls. Square-headed openings having timber casement windows and painted stone sills. Square-headed opening to windbreak with replacement timber battened door.
