  Description

  In pasture, on E-facing slope, immediately NW of farmyard of Fort Edmund house. Roughly circular area (43m N-S; 47m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.4m; ext. H 2.1m) with external fosse (D 2m; Wth 3.35m) and counterscarp bank (ext. H 0.5m). Farm-buildings encroach on defences on SE side; recent wall stands immediately outside fosse SSW->NNW.   Description

  In pasture, on gentle ESE-facing slope, ringed by higher ground on all sides. Monument, depicted on 1923 OS 6-inch map as a embanked rectangular enclosure (c. 40m NW-SE; c. 50m SW-NE) truncated on E side by field boundary, has been levelled.   Description

  In pasture, on level terrain. Roughly circular area (29.9m NE-SW) defined by scarped edge (H 0.25m; Wth 3.8m) NE->SW, with external fosse (Wth 1.4m; D 0.2m) ENE->SSW. Enclosing elements is covered by dense overgrowth SW->NE, but 1923 OS 6-inch map suggests it is truncated here by field boundaries forming NW corner of field. Level interior is under pasture.   Description

  In reclaimed pasture, at N end of hill crest with commanding view in all directions. Low semi-circular sod-covered mound extending c. 15m from E side of N-S field fence; some large stones scattered on W side of fence may be derived from former structure. Described by Fitzgerald and McGregor (1826, 381) as 'Jackson's Turret ... formerly the residence of Mr. Jackson ... this turret was a fine object to the surrounding country, but it is now nearly in ruins having been struck by lightning some years ago'; according to OSNB (vol. 1, 250) there was 'a notable old chimney in this turret of about 50 feet high in ruins'(sic); Westropp (1906-7, 226) noted a Miles Jackson 'holding land here in 1655'.   Description

  In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (35.9m N-S; 34.7m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 1.9m; Wth 6.2) with external fosse (D 0.45m; Wth 3.15). Break in scarp (Wth 2.5m) with causeway across fosse at SSW. Generally level interior slopes up gradually towards perimeter. Entire enclosure is under pasture.   Description

  In rough pasture on N-facing slope, 310m SW of townland boundary with Grannagh and 400m SE of Lisduane House. A ringfort (LI038-068----) lies 317m to the NE. Possible traces of a an enclosure shown standing in the S quadrant of an L-shaped woodland plantation on 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Partially depicted as an L-shaped scarp on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map in the S quadrant f a field. Possible levelled monument visible on aerial photograph (ASIAP ) taken 18/09/2005. Possible levelled enclosure visible as a sub-circular shaped area defined by overgrown fosse and trees, with gap at SW on OSi orthophotograph taken between 2005-2012 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 28/06/2018.   Description

  Detached four-bay single-storey thatched house, built c. 1800, with windbreak to front (south-east) and recent extension to rear (north-west). Hipped thatched roof with rendered chimneystack. Rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with one-over-one pane timber sliding sash and uPVC casement windows. Square-headed door openings with replacement door. Set within own grounds.
