The development will consist of a rooftop extension to the Shell extension granted under Reg. Ref. 23/60506, comprising an enclosed plant at Level 02 and a 4 storey ward above at Levels 03, 04, 05, and 06, consisting of 96 no. acute inpatient bed spaces, landscaped outdoor amenity areas (Level 03), support services, staff amenities, offices, storage and other ancillary areas, in addition to a roof plant at Level 07. The proposed development will connect and integrate with the permitted 96 no. bed ward to the south granted under Reg. Ref 20/775 which is currently under construction. As a result of the extension, the permitted building height on the subject site, as approved under Reg. Ref. 23/60506, will increase from c. 12m to a maximum height of c. 37m (top of staircore) along St. Nessan’s Road. The development will also include amendments to the permitted Shell extension (Levels -02, -01, 00 and 02) granted under Reg. Ref. 23/60506, comprising: alterations to Level 02 (roof) to accommodate the provision of plant at Level 02; removal of a ventilation well to the basement car park; relocation of the pedestrian and cyclist access to the basement at Level -01 from the north elevation to the west elevation; relocation of a fire escape door from the east elevation to the north elevation; the addition of an external column for structural support; minor alterations to all elevations including the rearrangement of windows and louvre openings and changes to materials and finishes. The development will also include: covered and uncovered bicycle parking spaces at various locations throughout the campus; the provision of a new shared pedestrian and cyclist link located to the north of the campus connecting to St. Nessan’s Road; green roofs; plant; changes in levels and all associated ancillary site development above and below ground

- LI013-037 Ringfort - rath
Description
Situated in the green area of a recently-built housing estate. A sub-circular area (diam. 37m N-S by 0.30m E-W) is enclosed by an earthen bank (int. H. 0.45m; ext. H. 1.2m Wth1.5m). The bank is best preserved from ESE to SSW and from WSW to NNE. The exterior of the bank has been encroached on by a wall in the SW and by tarmac from ENE to ESE. Shrubs have been planted in various locations on the bank and a broadleaf tree has recently been planted in the interior. A layer of geotextile runs along the top of the bank through which shrubs grow as well as some grass. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 27 March 2013
- LI013-038 Ringfort - rath
Description
Located atop a low hill in undulating, unused land, W of the wall of a large housing estate. The monument is heavily masked by dense scrub vegetation cover. It is on the 1924 OS 6-inch map as a sub-oval area (diam. c. 50m N-S by c. 60m E-W) enclosed by two concentric banks with the whole site enclosed by a field boundary. The site was excavated in 1973 and 1974 by Elizabeth Shee Twohig. She found that the bank appeared to have been 'faced with a wall of stones most of which slipped suddenly and cleanly into the ditch.' A complex arrangement of post holes and pits, and evidence of a wattle-built structure which had apparently been burned in situ were recorded. In one area there was a cist like hearth which contained much burnt material. Finds included a bone comb. (Shee Twohig 2000) Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 27 March 2013

Description
Situated E of a small road in the green area of a newly-built housing estate, c. 10m to NW of another enclosure (LI013-041----). It is depicted on the 1924 OS 6-inch map as an incomplete embanked sub-oval area (diam. c. 60m N-S by c. 50m E-W) defined by a scarped edge from W to NNW and NNE to ESE, and enclosed by a bank from W to ESE, with no enclosing or defining element from NNW to NNE. A field boundary impacts on the bank from SW to SE. The monument has been levelled. A gentle oval depression (diam. 27m NE-SW; D 0.2m) is visible on the ground at this location with traces of a bank (int. H less than 0.1m; Wth.1.2m; ext. H. 0.2m) from NE to SE. It is depicted on the 1924 OS 6-inch map as a circular area (diam. c. 20m) enclosed by a bank. It is depicted on the 1840 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) but only an arch of the enclosing element is shown on the 1924 OS 6-inch map.
