Description
In level pasture. Circular area (31.4m N-S; 30.9m E-W) defined by a scarped edge (H 1.3m; Wth 0.4m), with an external fosse (D 0.3m; Wth 2.1m) SW->W and NNW->ENE. Ramp (Wth 2m) across scarp at SSE. Field boundaries abut scarp at NNW, SE and W. Interior, which slopes gently down towards centre, is under pasture but with overgrowth along its perimeter. Description
In level pasture. Circular area (30.1m N-S; 28.1m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.25m; ext. H 1.3m), with an external fosse (D 0.35m; Wth 3.85m) SE->NNW. Opening (Wth 2.3m) through bank at ESE with concrete pillar standing at N side; gap (Wth 1.2m) in bank at N worn by cattle accessing interior. Bank abutted by field boundary at NNW and SE.
