Description
This structure (L 1.81m; D 0.1m) was composed of a number of birch roundwoods, which may have been worked with stone implements. One piece (L 1.18m; diam. 0.1m) had been worked from 0.4m to a point with facets of 0.03-0.05m in width. There were wood chips in the vicinity. Description
Freestanding cast-iron water pump, erected c. 1885. Comprising banded shaft with fluting to spout, fluted cap with final and with curved pumping arm. Set on concrete base adjacent to rural road. Located to the south end of the former settlement at Cloonbrock, and to the south of Cloondara.
