  Description

  At the SE end of a low ridge. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A raised oval area (c. 43m NW-SE; c. 36m NE-SW) enclosed by a poorly preserved, low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.5m; H 0.3m), which has been reduced by a scarp (H 0.8-0.9m) at S. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded a shallow external fosse; it has since been infilled. The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 26 August 2011

  At the SE edge of a low ridge in pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A raised subrectangular area (35.5m NE-SW; 33m NW-SE) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 2.2m; H 0.5m) on the NW side and defined by a scarp (H 0.8-1.1m) on the other three sides. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded an external fosse, which is no longer identifiable. There are breaks in the bank at the S end of the SE side (Wth 4m) and at the W end of the NW side (Wth 3m).   Description

  On a rise in low-lying pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A raised subcircular area (c. 32 NW-SE; c. 29m N-S) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone at S (Wth 2m; H 0.2m) and elsewhere defined by a scarp (H 0.4-0.6m). Some large boulders at the perimeter may represent wall-footings. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded traces of an external fosse, which are no longer identifiable.
