• LF019-096 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  Close to the base of a W-facing slope in pasture. A raised circular area (diam. c. 22m) enclosed by a partially denuded, low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.5m; H 0.3m). There is no trace of a fosse. From ESE-S-WSW the bank has been modified and incorporated into a field boundary. At NE is a paved entranceway (Wth 1m) of uncertain date. Compiled by: Patrick F. • LF019-097 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  A short distance off the crest of a low ridge. A raised subcircular area (c. 30m N-S; c. 28m E-W) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 6m; H 0.6-0.9m). From W-WNW-NW the bank has been levelled and the defining element is a low scarp (H 0.1-0.3m). The outline of an infilled external fosse is visible.
