• LF014-021 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  In level, low-lying pasture. A raised circular area (diam. 41.1m) enclosed by a very low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.2m; H 0.45m max.) with a shallow external fosse (Wth 2.8m; D 0.3m). From NNW-N-E it has been destroyed due to the construction of a modern NW-SE roadway. • LF014-022 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  In level, low-lying pasture. A raised circular area (diam. 19.2m) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.7m; H 0.5m max.), an intervening fosse (Wth 4.1m; D 1.1m) and a wide low outer bank (Wth 7.2m; H 0.5m). The rath is divided into unequal portions by a ENE–WSW field bank and drain. The smaller portion, to the SSE, has been levelled and only its outline is identifiable. • LF014-029 Enclosure
  Description

  On a gentle SW-facing slope in pasture. Not marked on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A report in 1975 (SMR file) recorded that the outline of a levelled circular enclosure (diam. c. 28m) could be traced. The SE half of the monument has since been destroyed due to the construction of a NE-SW laneway and field boundary. • LF014-036 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a rise in low-lying pasture. A raised circular area (diam. 31.2m) enclosed by a very wide low bank of earth and stone (Wth 8m; H 0.45m max.) with a shallow external fosse (Wth 3.9m; D 0.2m). From SSE-S-SW the outer face of the bank and the fosse have been modified and incorporated into a field boundary. The original entrance is not recognisable. The ground level rises appreciably from the perimeter to the centre of the interior. A report in 1975 (SMR file) recorded 'two low rises of unknown significance' close to the centre; these are no longer visible at ground level. Compiled by: Patrick F.
