  Description

  In NE corner of enclosed graveyard, ivy-clad remains of rectangular church (7.2m N-S; 14.9m E-W). Doorway W of centre in S wall has pointed arch, with four punch dressed stones, chamfered externally. Single light window at E end of S wall. W gable (H 5.3m) featureless. E gable contains single ogee-headed light in splayed embrasure with pointed arch. N wall contains three niches, 1.8m above ground level; one has opposite niche on S wall. Gravemakers in interior.   At S end of spit of land, once island of Inishrobe. Ruins of rectangular church (3m N-S; 8.6m E-W); later abandoned in favour of new church (MA117-005001-) (Knox 1908, 94). Walls stand to max. H 1.5m (wall T 0.8m); though poorly preserved. Beehive-like huts to NW and W. Site may have origins in Early Christian Period. The above description has been derived from D.   Description

  On E shore of L. Mask. Castle (int. dims. '32 feet 4 inches by 25 feet'), with doorway on N wall of first floor. Three arches inside E wall supported a walk and parapet. Trace of low vault or arch on N wall, but no indication of vaulting. N and S walls were gables. Inhabited into the nineteenth century. Later converted into Cushlough House. (Knox 1903, 97-8).
