  In rough pasture, 50m N of tower house (MA118-101----). Aerial photograph (CUCAP) shows a series of earthen banks, fields and possible hut sites.   Description

  In rough pasture, 400m S of cashel (MA118-080001-). Roughly circular area (39m N-S; 44.5m E-W), enclosed by remains of stone wall (H 0.3m; Wth 1.4m). Entrance with causeway (Wth 2.2m) on E. Souterrain (MA118-104002-) on W side. Circular hut site (MA118-104003-) (diam. 4.2m; int. H 1.8m) in interior. Rectangular earthen structure (L 14.5m; Wth 3.8m) adjoins external face at SE, possible hut site. The above description has been derived from D. • MA118-104002 Souterrain
  Description

  In a cashel (MA118-104001-). In 1982 an inaccesssible ‘small mural chamber’ (c. 1.5m square) was recorded, located within the cashel wall at NW. It was roofed with flat slabs. The visible remains appeared to be part of a larger collapsed chamber or passage (SMR file). In 1990 it was recorded in Archaeological Survey of Ballinrobe and District as a ‘chamber (L 3.8m; H 1.1m; Wth 1.7m), largely infilled, orientated N-S. • MA118-104003 House - indeterminate date
  Description

  Located in the W half of a cashel (MA118-104001-). This house was recorded in 1982 as roughly circular area (diam. c. 9m) defined by a ruined stone wall, with a few stones jutting from the wall at N possibly indicating the springing of a corbelled roof. There was an entrance at E (SMR file). In 1990 it was recorded as a circular hut site (diam. 4.2m; int. H 1.8m) (Lavelle 1994, 45, no. 279).
